This precious culture group is led by Kohi and Paku Kingi and is a ministry that helps Maori to share their love for God through their own cultural expression. Waka Toa means war canoe and is symbolic of the spiritual war against injustice poverty and oppression we fight. Waka Toa has performed nationally and internationally in Fiji, Malaysia, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Slovakia. Waka Toa has a dream of building its own Pa site and cultural centre which will not just showcase our city and nation to the world but will also help provide employment for our people.
